Words Michael Jackson heard, growing up, from his father. I consider the Jackson story an epic tragedy of Black America. It is a case history worthy of medical annals.
Last night in an interview on TV, conducted by an English reporter shortly before Michael died, the singer revealed his true life: how a beautiful Black child, one of the talented Jackson Five brothers of the 50’s, transformed himself dramatically, with starkly white skin, thin little nose, lipsticked lips, and sporting gloved hands. His father told him he had a big nose. The conclusion is stark: he did so because he was ashamed of being Black with a big nose. Through operations and skin drafts, he became a white freak.
May God give rest to his tortured soul.
