Dressing in your 80s

When I was growing up, women in their 60s and 70s began wearing longer dresses, belted usually, in a dark color with small designs. The custom was to wear shoes with a cuban heel, laced and coming high up on the instep. I’m in my 80s now and find myself wearing what many of the younger women are wearing and in doing that, think nothing of it. It seems to shed years off my back. It’s not only me, but many women past 60 are dressing as they did in their 40s and 50s. How refreshing! how youth-i-fying! How awful it would be if older ladies were still donning belted black dresses that made them look as if they were dressing for the grave!
