Press and public avidity

The avidity of the press–and TV–to wean out all the tragic details of Michael Jackson’s demise is a scandal. Coverage goes on and on. Of course, they are motivated by the public whose  sick curiosity into the lives of celebrities  is endless. It is not Jackson, poor, wretched soul, who should be condemned. It is ourselves, and press and TV that keep feeding us the dirt.
